About

I am a contemporary sculptor working with ideas of the unknown. I am fascinated by mysteries of the deep, aliens and unexplained organic entities but am equally interested in how these strange forms are perceived by people, how we project fear upon inanimate things and how in popular film inorganic props can generate such fear in the viewer.

While my practice is usually driven by making and drawing, photography also plays a huge part in the development of work, allowing me also to play with sculpture outside of the gallery in wide, natural, unpredictable territories. Photographing sights and personal experience is a way for me to help generate new ideas, it also conjures connections with a growing practice rooted in memory of a landscape and my habitation of it.
